The Underground

Well, it seems I haven't had very many people on here. There seems no reason for me to keep writing. I have no real need of remembering most of my adventures, so I don't even need a physical journal. I will be going underground for awhile. I don't know how long. When something else major happens, or when I get more viewers, I'll come back.

So if you are one of the few who has been watching my travels, and you would like to see more again, please direct some people to my older posts. I don't want my time here to feel like a waste. I do have other things to do with my few hours here.

Woops...

I've been letting life (or lives) get to me again. I'll try to get back into posting once more, I was almost in a good rhythm.

Oh, last night I was in the Wild West. About 400 years to late it seemed though. Technology advanced a little slower there. So did empires, the entire world was filled with these little kingdoms, many of which formed into coalitions and such, but still individual states/kingdom/whatever.

BOOM Headshot! From a Boomstick!

I decided to have more fun last night. I appeared in a land that had recently been devastated by war, so most people (meaning tribes) lived "cave man" type of lives. Meaning, they uh... well, lived in caves. Since the tribes were usually small, they didn't have the manpower to build a lot of technology, even though just a decade before they were all using iron and steel tools of great quality. Now those tools were destroyed and buried, and they didn't have enough manpower to spare from survival to gather that iron and reforge it. Until I came along...

After uniting several tribes, I had enough extra workers to begin building technology again. We quickly got advanced metal tools again. Then I showed them gunpowder. Yep, that is why this post's title talks about "boomsticks". Why are they called boomsticks, I hope you don't ask? Well... because they're a stick, that... goes... boom. Do I have to explain everything?!

The "BOOM Headshot!" part of the title? Eh, I just wanted to add that. Though we did blow up a few heads. It was really about hunting those boomsticks were.

Okay! So we hunted slaves, prisoners of war and criminals. So what?

Arcade Fun

I didn't actually go to an arcade last night. I just went to Post-Roman Britain. Why did I name this post that, you ask? You... didn't ask? Oh, okay then. I'll tell you anyway. I named it that because for six months, I built up a little war party and just went pillaging. I didn't bother inventing any new technology, or taking over the world, or anything special. Me and my little war party just went around having fun.

It started out with just a few adventurous young men who wanted to know what war was like. Their families were to poor to spare them, so I paid them with some money I had "acquired", enough to last each family probably 2 or 3 years, then we went on our way. At first I trained them hard, then we went after bandits and stuff. A few bandits joined, we hired a few more poor peasants, a few mercanaries later on, ect.

Eventually it got to the point where we just roamed. We had over 30 in the warparty, and all of these guys were elite or at least pretty darn close. Simple, arcade like fun these fights were. Just fun...

The Extremist

So it's been a couple days, longer than I wanted between posts, but nothing remarkable happened during my travels. I can't believe I've gotten to the point that riding elephants while using repeating crossbows isn't considered remarkable... Anyway, last night I met an interesting character.

It was around early Renaissance period, and firearms were becoming more widely used. However, many points of history were different, so there were still wondering Germanic tribes (few and far between, but similar to those during the Roman times). One particular tribe was very extreme. It was a small tribe, but that was because it was so hardcore. The basic training for everyone was similar to the Spartans, but they lived for war in a far different way. Since they were always on the move and trained so hard, they could never grow very big. The creepiest part was the fact that they were cannibals. The worst part of them was their top warrior. He is the Extrememist this post is named after. During times of war (meaning, almost always), he would only drink the fresh blood and eat the warm flesh of live victims. Be it beast or man, he acquired all of his sustenance from the living. Vampire stories were rampant in this land... mainly because of him and his tribe. He was even called a vampire in some cases.

This guy was so extreme, that when he was on the move during intense parts of war, he would ONLY sleep on a blood soaked field or on a pile of corpses (or in the warm corpse of a beast he wrestled down and ate alive). If he could not have a live victim, he would not eat or drink. If he did not have a blood soaked field or a pile or corpeses, he would not sleep. Yet he ate and drank every day, and slept every night. He became so feared that he could walk right up to the gates of Rome and they would open for him. The guards would step out of his way, and the crowd would part. He could walk right up to any king, emporer, bishop, anyone without resistance. But he did live as an assassin, so he did not kill them. He lived merely for war. His tribe was nearly as bad as him. Their small tribe (less than 30) was so feared, that NO empire or kingdom would trifle with them. If they did, the tribe would vanish and the largest cities of that empire would be burning in days.

Wanna guess who I was this whole time? The guy... assigned by the rest of the civilized world to hunt him down and kill him. That was a joke. I'm pretty sure me and all my companions (by that I mean 200 soldiers) lay dead right now, in pieces, in a burning forest. The Extremist will sleep well tonight.

That's all for now.

The Gang

So last night was very different. I was only gone a few minutes. Here's how it went.

I got ready for bed, finished everything I would possibly need to do for the day, then wrote a list of what I would need to do the next day as well as tomorrow's date, plans, ect. for in case I was gone several years. It helps me reorient myself from a long travel. I then lay down and closed my eyes, just like normal. I appeared on a busy street in a large city filled with skyscrapers and rushing people. It was pouring rain, and the street lights did little good with actually giving off light. I was wearing a large brown trench coat and was already drenched. I looked around at the crowd and the city to figure out what I was supposed to do. I also looked at the level of technology and such. The cars were pretty much like today's, maybe a few years ago I'd say. It was a darker part of town, and for some reason none of the buildings were lit up very well. I noticed a few suspicious figures (they were very good, anyone else wouldn't have given them a second glance. But this was not my first time on a busy street... nor less then my thousandth). The seemed to be following a worried looking girl. I followed as a shadow.

The girl knew she was being followed by the others, but they were herding her towards an alley. I could tell she did not want this, so I took a back entrance (meaning I climbed over a bunch of buildings so I could watch from above) to help in case anything happens. I was several stories above, and this gang of other figures surrounded the girl in the middle of the alley. I could tell she did not want to be here, and she thought there was no hope. I saw one fo the gang members reach for a knife (okay, I saw a slight twitch which I knew was him reaching for something in his jacket that I knew was a knife), so I dropped down. The fight was over quickly. From the feel of things, meaning an estimation from what I remember doing in the fight, there were seven dead and four severely wounded. When the fight was over, which lasted less then a minute (I could have held my breath the whole time), I looked over at the girl and asked if she was okay. She nervously nodded yes and I was about to go help her, when I heard what seemed to be cops coming. So I ran out of the alley and blended into the crowd. I was walking across the street watching the cops go into the alley when suddenly, I woke up in my bed. All the knowledge and experience from previous dreams or journeys that I always feel in others dissappeared all at once, like it always does when I come home.

So, my shortest trip yet. That was exciting.

Ninjas again

Heiksta, has anyone heard of a country called Heiksta, ever?! That's the country I landed in last night (first journey worth mentioning since last post), but it controlled all of eastern Asia and western America. Pretty huge. When I got back I googled it, all I got was some wierd dude on twitter. Hmm... oh well (if Googled it to, leave a comment. At least I'm not alone in apparent lack of geographic knowledge).

Anyway, the ninjas. Even though they weren't technically ninjas, they were pretty darn close. Except for one... minor detail. They were mainly used as suicide bombers. They weould tie buckets of gunpowder to themself, climb to a certain place in a building filled with top enemy figures, and blow them all up. That was about the most interesting thing that happened to me.
